Leeds office move for innovative law firm, rradar

Updated: Feb 16

Legal firm rradar has relocated its Leeds office to the prestigious Bruntwood Platform building, New Station Street, Leeds, after rapidly outgrowing its former space.

Mark Smith, rradar’s IT director, said: “Leeds is a fast-growing location for rradar; since we established our original office there in 2016 we have more than tripled the size of the team and we need a new space from January 2018 that can support our rate of growth.”

Launched in Hull in 2012 with 10 employees and reporting a year-end turnover of £0.8m, just a few years later, and with offices in Hull, Leeds and Glasgow, rradar now has over 100 staff and an estimated turnover of £5 million.

Having won numerous accolades in 2017 including the Law Society’s ‘Excellence in Client Service’ award as well as a Yorkshire Legal Award, rradar is differentiating itself from the rest of the legal market.

With a focus on delivering a modern, proactive and positive client experience of the law, rradar’s growth plans include the continued attraction of exceptional legal talent and top regulatory advisors.

This recruitment continues to complement those colleagues already employed within web design, app development, media production and marketing, as the business recognises the importance of digital technology and media in delivering legal advice and support to its clients.

As a highly innovative legal service dedicated to business clients, rradar has also attracted a grant from the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership for its business growth plans in the area and move to its newly refurbished 4,500sq ft space in the Platform.

They have also asked Yorkshire based RFD to design the interior in a similar contemporary style to rradar’s HQ ‘Beacon’ office in Hull.

rradar believes that its inspiring office, work and recreational areas, foster creativity, energy and the well-being of colleagues which in turn aid the success of the business and its fresh approach to the law.

Gary Gallen, CEO of rradar, said “we are trying to build a different sort of culture and environment for our lawyers and other colleagues”.

Expansion plans are growing outside of Yorkshire too as Gallen also commented: “We’re also increasing capacity in our Glasgow office and there are plans to open three other offices at significant UK locations in the next six months.”
